Past couple of days, I have been busy writing a paper. It's supposed to be a short one (1500words), but somehow mine turned out to be 3000 words... Spent quite a time in shortening the paper to 2000 words..

This is jus recap of what happened since sunday.

Sunday.
1) A senior in H.S going to college this year (born 88) proposed to me. ummmmmmmm(Then another student tells him that I said I would be only taking guys up to born in year 87. Then smiles and says he has a chance. These kids.....)
2) A teacher got pregnant, and another male teacher is going to Paraguay for his grandfather's illness. Now... I'm stuck with more classes to teach before I go to school.

Monday.
1) changed my hard drive. Hey, my dvd drive is not working now.... Wait, it didn't work before either..... Gotta search for a new compy... was going to use this at least I get to school...
2) Stupid window activation. I type in the right key in, and the window says that I'm not. Called in the service, and finally it's activated.
3)Stupid postal service lost my package from school with all the housing and camp information. My camp is within 12 days, and I still haven't figured out the details. (And the admission building is in renovation right now. What a perfect timing)

Tuesday.
1) Went to see why my car was recalled (due to a little computer programming thing). Now I have to take my car on Thurs morning.
2) I'm really scared of my mom's way of driving.... May be I shouldn't have let her drive my car.
3) Ate meat heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeheheheheh
4) My mom wanted to go to this artwork showing session... We drove for 20 min. Then I heard my mom saying she didn't know the exact place... We came back.

Wednesday.
1) Walked around the nearby park for 40 min.
2) came back and napped for 4 hours.
3) YAY Hammus!
4) My student (church) calls me and says he failed the driving test. I'm glad in a way because I really think he needs more practice.

Just now....
A phone call from this missionary and his wife. They will be staying over Thurs till Fri noon. Guess who have to pick and take them from and to the airport. ME!

I am back safe and sound, and let me tell you. It was one of the trips that I would never forget.

Since Zelda gave really good accounts of the concerts, I wouldn't elaborate on it.
However, I have to say, Hyde really is an amazing performer. I just wonder how much energy he can give out with that tiny little body of his. On the last day of the tour, I wasn't feeling well (and I believe Zelda wasn't in her best condition either), but after the concert, I could definitely say that I didn't regret the wait and all the cramming.
The concert went pretty well, and it was nice the Filmore had ac on with good ventilation. Even after the opening act by Blacklist club (they are growing on me), it was a bit chilly. However when Hyde came to the stage, the madness. It was just awesome. I have to say though, it wasn't until the last song of the 2nd act (or you can say part of encore)that I got to be swept over by his energy. His last song was Unexpected, and he just rocked... I can't express enough with the words. All I can say is after that last song, I was loss of words. While other fans were screaming and reaching out their hands toward Hyde, I couldn't do anything but just savour the impact of the performance. I was even teary by it, so... I guess that says it.
I really really appreciate Hyde as an artist now. Of course I liked his music and appreciated his talent before the tour, but this performance really made me appreciate him in another level. The looks helps (as sleepy would say his 'smoldering gaze' definitely helps, too), but for me, his talent, energy, and charisma just took me over. What a great artist.
Kaz, Hiroki, Jin, and Furuto were great also. Kaz's hair is cool. Hiroki is way cute (not just the look). Couldn't see Furuto that well. Jin's mask scares me, but I can tell that he is really talented.

Ah, one really weird conversation that I had with this one girl waiting in the line for the restroom:
Girl: hey so how long have you been waiting on the line?
Me: Not that long ago. Perhaps around 5?
Girl: That late?
Me: Yeah, I know. But I think it would be okay for me (knowing that Zelda will be able to get in the front) since I went to all other concerts of this U.S. tour. Also I like his music that I would like to stand at a place where his gazing at (the artist usually don't gaze right underneath him).
Girl: Oh I see. So how long have you been a hydeist fan? Did you know him from L'arc?
Me: For a while now, and yes I have known him from L'arc.
Girl: So about 3-4 years ago?
Me: Nah, I've known Hyde since about 10 years ago when I was in J.H.
Girl: Oh from X- Jap...
Me: (looking really confused and cutting her off) X-Japan?(Don't tell me she said it... Man... wait she did say that. she is giving me that 'she knows everything 'look)
Uh... .No
From L'arc... They have been around quite a while now....
Girl: Oh I see.
Then she goes into the stall.

I told zelda this story and she reminded me of Hide of X Japan.... You know, the one who is ummmmm no longer in this earth? (at least his physical form is not. I don't want to argue those spiritualists...)It would have been much better if she didn't say that... If you are a fan or say that you are a fan, then know that those two are different people.

Then on Friday, I got to meet Bchang, Tvo, and sleepy. We went to the Coit tower, Golden gate bridge, fisherman's wharf, and Ghiradelli. It was so much fun. I bought some postcards and chocolate bars... I think I won't be elaborating on the details for now though.

And today, I got home. After lunch, took a 5 hour long nap... By the way, those j-fangirls were on my flight............................... (there wass a connecting flight to Japan, and I guess they were taking it.)

THis whole week was just amazing being with Zelda following around Hyde and going around SF area. Sleepy and Zelda must be sick of me by now. hehehehe

Random ramblings

These days, I'm exhausted. Training people is not that fun, and wrapping up the things I've been doing isn't fun either. In anycase, things are going.

I think I would need to wear knee protector to work or something. I have been bumping into things that my knees are bruised... My right knee looks blue and purple...

I need to catch up on fangirling.... Kime's b day has passed, and I didn't even fangirl about that.

I feel the need to excersize... But once again, my laziness won over my motivation. eh...

I hate when people assume things as they want. I especially hate it when they assume things about me. They don't know anything about me.

So many friends from NYC are married... I feel so old.

I'm so tired. So sleepy. Was not fun driving back from church because i had to go through chinatown... and so much traffic. Forgot that today was lunar new year. I'm at home all by myself because my parents went to Georgia to see my brother finishing off academic training. They (including my brother) will be back sometime in between midnight and 2am.

Working is fun. Since now only 2 of us are full time, and one person only works on tues-thurs, things are busy busy.... I mean the busiest days are monday, thursday, and friday... On top of that, the girl who used to type the dictated reports are only working part time (because she started to go to school), more work for me~~. Not so stressful, but yeah.. have lots of work.

I'm alive and partly well.
Sleepcat... I got your message like 2 days ago... I totally missed that voice message.
The internet is giving me troubles these days. It's annoying that at one point,everything is really fast, and then at another point, everything doesn't work.
Anyways, got a new pair of earphones for my ipod (not the one from apple though... I have to say, sony makes a better pair than apple...). heheheeh happy happy

So today, the mother of the girl I used to tutor calls me and says she wants me back. I told her that I will give her daughter 1 week to go over everything that I gave her and to give any questions with math through e mail. I told her I may reconsider if she shows her effort... I doubt that that girl will actually try. In anycase, her mother will call me next week again.

And let's see... The doctor is telling me to specialize in radiology. If I do, then he says he will give the office to me with all the connections and all. Pretty interesting offer, but I don't think I would become a radiologist.

It seems like it has been a while since i've logged on (although I logged on today around 2am to say happy new year). Last year was good, and I was thrilled for the past week due to various things, but these three things tops the most: PS2 (I know it's kind of late, but it's really nice of my brother to get me the system :) ) and 85% dark chocolate.... (I didn't try it, but I bet I will love it... missed good dark chocolate sooo much :D).
I'm looking forward for this year... I wonder what will happen.

Things that I hope to accomplish this year (not in particular order)
- visit japan sometime in summer... (if not, Germany for WorldCup2006)
- Quit tutoring. (I really look forward to this... Hopefully this month).
- Finish the Bible... gah... hopefully i don't get stuck on the chornicles for 6months like i did last time....
- Study Japanse and pass the jpl test.
- Keep up with my obsession and stalking :D
- Keep in touch with you people, and be good in updating lj.

I have been listening to this album a lot... it has some of my favorites of kime, and it makes me happy.

Transliterations are here (to improve my kanji skill... :D).
I once again realized that it's easier to translate Japanese into Korean than English since there are so many similar words and expressions... I have Korean translation, but now i'm trying to see how i can put the words in Eng nicely (and not make it sound awkward).... hehehe perhaps if it works, i will post up the translation... Stemcell research & Glorious

OH MAN!!!! I'm so upset of the current stemcell issue on Dr. Whang. How can he say that the number is not important? His major point of that research paper was the increased productivity of the stemcell cloning. And I really do not like those people who does not have any scientific knowledge yepping about the issue. Noting is settled down yet, but still.. it seems like things are saying that Whang has been giving false information to the public and on the research paper. 'Science' is definitely looking into it.

Onto Glorious
The album is quite nice. On the other hand, you can see that kimeru is now a 'mainstream'singer rather than a 'minor.' It can be a good thing, but it is also not so great because it seems like he is losing his original color. I first liked him because of his voice and powerful singing quality. However, I get to see that after he entered the mainstream, his singing styles have been changing. I guess it is good that he is testing different ways of singing, but I hope he does not lose his powerful singing voice.

So kimeru has tried lots of things in this album.
There are 4 new songs, and all of them are sung in a different tone.

Honnou
It is a pretty catchy song. At first, I didn't like it, but now, I find my self humming the tone.. The mood fits the album jacket picture pretty well. It does give out a serene yet very cold (more like winter chill) aura.

Be Shiny

Interesting singing style. Kime sings in a really nasal tone and then in the middle to his original singing style.... Very fun song once you get used to it. Definitely a new style. It would be fun to see him sing it in the live concert.

I really like the lyric of this song. Kime played around with the words less than the other songs (oh man... kuchibiru passion. lots of word play over there). Very mainstream sounding... On the other hand, I do agree with what kime said. You have to think about death. One can never avoid it...

Indeed another song that I almost memorized. kami sama no koi kokoro.... Since this single, he has been trying new singing styles (like pink).

went for a physical check up.
interestingly, my visual acuity became 20/20... ummmm interesting, let's just say that.
feeling much better than before after the check up. heheheh
Got to look into the ultrasound screen while doing u/s breast.... got to see the cysts.. how exciting... just glad that it wasn't actual sign of the cancer...

have you guys missed me??

anyways... I'm back online.

On Mon and Tues, I was preparing things and filling out the forms.
On Wed and Thurs, I was in MD.
On Fri... went for a christmas dinner that wouldn't last for 4 hours...

The trip to MD was INTERESTING.
On the Wed morning, I arrived at the airport at 6:30AM to get on the 7:30AM flight... Guess what. The flight was cancelled because it was supposed to lay over at Dallas, TX, and it was snowing in Dallas. Oh great. I waited on the line to get things sorted out for about 1 1/2 hours. The airline personnel said I have 2 choices. Either wait for the plane that will get to BWI by 9:30am Thursday, or get on the one that goes to Washington Dulls, which leaves at 8:45am. It was 8:15am by then, but I had no other choice but run for that second optioned flight. Had to cut through the lines, and luckily, I made to the airport.
Then on Thursday, on the way back.
I had to catch the flight at 6:21pm, but I couldn't leave from bethesda until 4:30pm. Then I got on the shuttle. The driver said it will take only 1 hour or so to get to the airport, so I thought I was safe. But you know, things always doesn't work out that well... THere was a huge traffic on the way that I got to the airport by 6:05pm. I had to talk to the personnel. She said everything is closed and she can't guarantee that I would catch the plane. Luckily, I was right on the time before the door closed. whew...

Another interesting thing. I had food poisoning from the stuff that I ate on Wed night... Guess what. with all swollen face and sick look, I had to attend the interview on Thursday.... gah... It got better as the time passed, but still it's not good. Also I had to get up by 5:30am in Eastern time... which is 2:30am in cali time... I was dosing off through lots of procedures, it seems like.

In anycase, things are all done, and it wasn't that bad overall.

For Friday, the food was pretty good. I had a dinner with co-workers, boss, and several other doctors. It was fun, but it ran too long... I wanted to go home and sleep. I got home about 1am, and went to work by 7:45am... 4 hour long dinner.... way too long. And the doctors wanted to give me tips on everything that I had to plaster a smile on my face. Oh... I'm beginning to be an expert on this field. heheheh

Today, I went to the ophthalmologist, and guess what~ I'm not a color blind. woo hoo~~~~~~~~~~

I still haven't gotten my glorious album... should be coming soon though. :D

1)I wake up without an alarm clock even if it's 3am in the morning. :D I'm a weirdo~~. Have been doing that since ummmmm Can't even remember...

2)Powernaps... I take 10-15 minutes nap. Don't take ones that's longer than that unless I am sick.

3)Tend to move my hands a lot when I speak... Couldn't think clearly and say at the same time when some people tried to hold my hands and stop me from moving my hands around. heheh Working on that.

4)When listening to any kind of songs, I tend to write background music in notes in my hand instead of the melody... at times, I even arrange the songs into a cappellas as I listen to them for the first time ... even done that with classical pieces... BUT BUT Memorizing lyric is hard.... By the way... Don't people usually listen to melody??

5)i don't think i'm too weird on this... for the cd's or things that i'm obsessed with, I tend to keep them in their original packagings... For example, for cd, I tend to keep the vinyl covers of the cd... keep them in the original condition... Even for I pod, it took me 6 months to get rid of my vinyl covering..... (I don't know if you quite understand what I wrote.. :D)
